My client is an independent insurance agency in downtown Seattle, WA. They have an excellent reputation for handling their clients with velvet gloves and being a trusted advisor, not just a pushy sales person. Many of their Personal Lines clients also insure their businesses with the firm. These are prized VIP clients that expect 1st class service and attention to detail at all times.

This book of business is their “small” accounts book. Premiums will be up to $10,000/year on average. You will be doing account reviews to make sure that their risk program has no gaps in coverage, adequate policy limits, and is current with their scheduled property and vehicles. The job will be a mix of in-house and some face to face client meetings to do account reviews. Goal is to round out the account and help to develop a solid risk strategy making sure that all property is covered especially unique items such as art and jewelry. You will also handle daily service requests such as certs and endorsements.

The agency uses AMS360 and is paperless. Proposals are done with MS office. This is a Mon to Fri full time permanent role with full benefits, ORCA card, and they are right on the bus line. The office dresses professionally, not in jeans.

Candidates need to be extremely accurate, fast on the computer, able to communicate clearly without errors in writing and on the phone, and be able to retain info to quickly prioritize as needed. A WA P & C license is required.

My client is a well-established insurance agency and has been around for 40 years. They are conveniently located in the Mill Creek, WA area and are close to public transportation. The owner is growing and wants to add an experienced inside sales/service agent to the team. This is NOT an entry level role. Compensation consists of a base salary (DOE) and generous bonus program. This is a W2 position, not a 1099. You will not be cold calling or going door to door. You will work with established policy holders, do account reviews, and add new lines of coverage as needed. You will be selling/servicing all personal lines policies: auto, home, umbrella, RV, boats, jet skis/water toys, and life/financial products.

This is a nice, family-friendly office. Hours are Mon to Fri 8:30 to 5:00 pm. This is a full time, permanent role and he provides benefits with a generous PTO of up to 160 hours in a 12 month period. There is also a profit sharing program.

Successful performance should earn you a monthly bonus of $600 to $800 or more on average in addition to your base salary. This agent pays some of the highest first year commission splits in the area across all coverage lines.

Personal Lines Account Managers are the cornerstone of the personal lines services team. This position answers all inbound personal lines service calls. They perform service work for customers including but not limited to: adding/deleting/replacing vehicles, changing coverage’s, adding/deleting lien-holders and mortgagees, answering billing questions, verifying insurance, taking payments, and handling other insurance questions as appropriate to service customers.

Your day will look like this:

Personal Lines Account Manager will handle customer service requests in a professional and knowledgeable manner. They will determine all impacts/needs associated with the service request, including impacts to other coverage’s or policies. During routine service contacts, they will also use their knowledge to identify any coverage gaps associated with a customer’s request and educate the customer on ways to mitigate their risk.

The Account Manager will document all contacts, maintain customer records and files in a professional manner, and update customer information as appropriate for accuracy. They will maintain effective and timely follow-up systems and verify transactions with customers. They will effectively utilize technology to perform assignments and requests. Additionally they will use knowledge of personal lines products, carriers, and agency and carrier rules to service customers effectively. Additional responsibilities could include drafting and sending correspondence, and other tasks of a service nature and other duties as assigned.

In addition to inbound service calls, the Account Manger performs service activities to support their team and their manager or others, consistent with the responsibilities outlined above.

Your day will be a mix of inside sales quoting and customer policy service. Company uses Hawksoft and Turbo Rater along with MS office. You are a trusted advisor with a goal to help educate the customer This is all inbound phone/email work. This is a very busy office with non-stop ringing phones. You will also cross sell existing accounts to add umbrellas, home, and auto to round out the coverage package. You will help customers with policy changes, and will assist with claims advocacy when needed.

The office is very state of the art with individual offices, high tech computer equipment, and free parking. Many employees have been with the firm over 5 years. They have terrific online reviews and a very effective marketing program with many long-term customers.

In this role you will support one of the Senior Partner Producers. Her book is a mix of farm, umbrella, personal auto/home, and area commercial business risks. Carrier knowledge of Mutual of Enumclaw, Mutual of Oregon, Safeco, Liberty, Hartford, Travelers, Progressive, Grange, and E & S markets is crucial for success. My client is a large independent insurance brokerage in the Bothell area. They are looking to add another licensed personal lines account manager to their Private Client/High Net Worth Team. Depending on your experience level with Private Client Carriers such as Chubb/Ace, AIG, Pure etc, you will either assist the Senior Account Managers or will work directly on your own book of established accounts. The agency uses EPIC and is paperless. This is a fast-paced inside role with lots of correspondence over the phone and email. Computer skills and accuracy are needed as well as an ability to work with changing priorities and tasks. There will be some face to face client meetings as well and they could be in office or on site depending on the insured’s needs.

The client offers salary, commissions on new sales, benefits, free parking and PTO plan. Continuing education is also paid for. Hours are Mon to Fri.

Your day will consist of:

Service existing Personal Insurance customers, through building relationships, explaining detailed coverage and policy information and processing changes as needed

Quote new and replacement business;

Solicit referrals

Provide quality service to clients and resolve concerns and conflicts;

Assist in claim conflicts between insured and company; claim counseling;

Prior insurance experience is NOT necessary, but strong sales experience is.

If you do not have your P & C and L & D insurance licenses, the company will help you get them. This is a full time W2 position and you will be a company employee. Once licensed, you will be on a salary and commission plan with full benefits and retirement. Hours are 8:30-5:30 M-Th and Fri 9:00-5:00. No weekends are required.

Your training will be in-house by their Sales Trainer. The goal of the role is for you to spend the first 60 to 90 days learning insurance coverages and systems which will prepare you to be able to produce 20 to 30 items per month. If you write 30 to 40 items/month will earn between $60K to $80K per year. Top performers can also earn week long company paid sales trips. Compensation is a combination of salary and commission on new policies. They also offer a generous full benefits package and 401K with matching.

This sales role will involve taking customer calls, quoting new insurance policies, calling internet leads, building your personal network/centers of influence, as well as cross-selling existing policies and following up with existing customers to gain referrals. The agency also has various sporting venues that you can utilize to help you build your book of business.

My client is looking for someone with lots of personal drive and ambition, previous quota/goals-based successful sales experience, strong communication skills on the phone and email and a desire to be in insurance sales.
