If you are an experienced P & C licensed Commercial Lines Middle Market Account Manager looking to grow your career, this new role could be your next move. My client is a National Insurance Brokerage with offices throughout Puget Sound.  Due to an upcoming retirement, they are looking to bring on a new Commercial Lines Account Manager to handle a $500,000 revenue book.  Most of the accounts are in the South Puget Sound area.  The book is a mix of construction, towing, and water district risks.  The premium ranges in size from small to about $100,000.  Many of the accounts are middle market and have been loyal customers for decades.  The agency uses AMS360. The agency is open to remote or hybrid work arrangements, however, remote workers need to live in Western WA so that they can travel to accounts easily for key renewal meetings throughout the year.  If you want to work hybrid, you can be based out of Everett, University Place, or Auburn.  The agency believes in work/life balance, continuing education, and helping each employee plan their career path to take advantage of their key strengths.  Salary is dependent on past insurance agency experience, middle market coverage knowledge, and ability with AMS360. Salary range is $65,000 to $95,000 with quarterly bonus. Key responsibilities include: Full management of a book of business including marketing, servicing, renewal management, analyzing risks, invoicing, reporting, and assisting in all needs for sophisticated business customers including:

  • Communicating with prospects, clients, and underwriters
  • Work with Producer on presentation of quotes and proposals for new business and renewals
  • Review policies, identify deficiencies and determine appropriate level of coverage
  • Manage renewal process for expiring policies
  • Create certificates of insurance, endorsement requests, and binders
  • Ensure client's needs are met in a timely manner
  • Online rating with multiple carriers
  • Completion of Acord applications

Background needed:

  • Vertafore AMS360 Agency Management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of major carriers and non-admitted markets
  • Licensed in Property and Casualty Insurance
  • 5 years P&C experience at a retail insurance agency

Commercial Lines Producer: W2 role with validation salary plan to help you build a book

If you are well-connected in the greater Eugene, OR area and you have your P & C license and a desire to sell business insurance, this new Commercial Insurance Producer program is for you. My client is a well-established insurance brokerage in Eugene.  They have many niche markets and very loyal customers.  They are searching for their next rising star Producer.  This is a rare opportunity to build a book of business with a 3-year W2 validation salary validation program.  You will work with the Sales Director to develop a sales and marketing plan to target companies in your desired niches. The agency has specialties in Public Entity, Trucking, Construction/bonds, manufacturing, farms/ranches, and tribal risks.  You will not have a minimum premium allowing you to sell to all sizes of accounts. They will team you with Senior Producers who will act as mentors and subject matter experts as you develop prospects and set initial meetings.  They use a Team Sales approach to allow you to develop your coverage knowledge as you build your book of business. You will have tenured Commercial Account Manager support to help you market and place business as well as handle day to day servicing. Your year one sales goal is $75,000 in new business revenue.  You will be paid 40% on new business and 30% on renewals and will have an expense program. You will not have to be in the office daily, however, you will have regularly scheduled office/meeting time with sales leaders and your Account Manager team.  You will be given all IT to allow you to work from the field or your home office.  The agency uses AMS360 for agency management and Sales Force for tracking new business opportunities.  You will be provided training on all computer systems. Your focus will be on identifying potential opportunities by leveraging leads, marketing campaigns, and referrals.  You will also develop content marketing, newsletters, and other networking opportunities to help drive new opportunities. Candidates need to have a P & C license and some insurance agency experience either in sales or account management. Previous outside B2B sales in another industry that you would like to target as one of your niche insurance markets is a huge plus. Personal Lines Account Manager

If you live in the Greater Eugene, OR area and have your P & C license and some personal lines agency experience, my agency client wants to talk with you.

My client is a regional full-service independent insurance agency in Oregon. You will be based out of their Eugene, office. They have a terrific benefits and wellness plan and dedication to a culture emphasizing work/life balance.

Due to an upcoming retirement, they want to add a new Personal Lines Account Manager to their team. You will split the book with another Account Manager with a focus on service and client retention. They have a loyal customer base. The agency uses AMS360 and will train on software. You will have a salary of $41,000 to $47,000 and will get policy spiffs on any new lines you write.

You will work in the office 2 days one week and 3 days the next alternating with the other account manager in the department so that there is always someone in the office to handle walk-in traffic. Hours are Mon to Fri 8:30 am to 5 pm with 1 hour lunch.

Benefits include 15 days PTO, a 401K with match, medical, dental, and vision with very little out of pocket cost, a Costco membership, a corporate gym with a fully stocked cafeteria with food and snacks and paid continuing education.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Explain policy types and coverages to insureds and prospects.
  • Service existing customers and processing new insurance applications.
  • Process policy renewals and issue certifications as needed or requested.
  • Review quotes, policies, and endorsements for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare sales information for customers such as proposals and policy summaries.
  • General account maintenance and data management.
  • Round out existing accounts, gain referrals, and follow up and quote on company-provided leads.

Candidates need to have strong computer skills, AMS360 is a plus, an Oregon P & C license, and at least one year of insurance agency experience at either a Direct Writer or an independent agency.  You need to live a commutable distance from Eugene, OR to allow for hybrid scheduling.
