If you are well-connected in the greater Portland Community and you have sold commercial/business insurance or want to learn how, my client’s producer program may be a fit for you.

My client is a growing, well-established brokerage with multiple locations in the greater Portland area.  They want to hire 1 to 2 new commercial producers.

Depending on your insurance experience, they will design a training/marketing program for you to allow you to go after key business areas/verticals where you have local contacts or centers of influence.  They will provide you with mentoring support, marketing tools, and access to a huge array of markets.  You will be a W2 employee on a validation salary with specific production goals to allow you to validate within a 3 year period.  This firm has never had a producer not validate and they have low turnover.  Training will consist of producer schooling, webinars, carrier training, and following a weekly production plan.  You will have generous splits for both new and renewal business as well as paid expenses for mileage and other business development/prospecting costs.  You will also enjoy a generous benefits plan.

Backgrounds that will be considered include current licensed producers with a non-compete and/or pipeline of business, or candidates with strong sales background in a specific vertical such as construction, restaurants, real estate, etc., or someone who has built a customer base in Commercial Lines with a direct writer or other Carrier.

Candidates will do a sales assessment test as part of the interviewing process.  Salary will be dependent on sales experience and or contact in the industry.
