If you hold a Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager or Account Executive role at an agency where you are the primary contact for large complex accounts and you have peer review over other Account Manager’s work, this job is for you!

My client is a well-established and respected insurance brokerage located in Eugene, OR. They are looking for a new AE to be part of their largest Profit Center Group. You will be part of a tenured support team that handles large complex Senior Living Accounts across the country. You will be the Insured’s primary contact for all renewals and will establish work flow for your Account Manager team to support renewal deadlines and service strategy. For new business, you will work closely with the Producer team to create a risk strategy and secure markets for all aspects of the account.

This position is a key part of the leadership of the account and has Peer Review over all communication to the insureds. It requires advanced coverage knowledge in Habitational, Builder’s Risk, Executive D & O, Construction, Property Management, and Property (Flood/Wind/Fire). The position is in-office Mon to Fri. Key aspects of the role include:

Meets directly with clients. Negotiates and sells lines of insurance to clients. Designs insurance and risk management plans for clients as assigned and directed by Agency management. Provides clients with full exposure analysis and reviews methods of handling risks. Works with the Producer to write new business accounts. Sells in place of or in coordination with Producer.

Leads accounts through the renewal process per department procedures. Markets accounts to insurance carriers and wholesalers as needed.

Maintains records according to Agency standards, ensures that procedures are properly followed and that information is properly document and readily accessible.

Assists in the development of strong personal relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel. Assists Agency in developing carrier relationships by becoming familiar with and executing strategies developed for satisfying carrier goals and objectives.

Trains and directs technical support personnel including Account Managers, Account Coordinators, or Analysts in order to meet essential duties and responsibilities.

Reviews insurance and indemnification parts of contracts.

Processes or oversees process of change-request/endorsements, binders, certificates, account summaries, proposals, policies, lost policy releases, audits, and account balance status as needed.

Maintains follow-up and suspense on outstanding orders, correspondence, audits, reports, reporting form coverage, claims, renewal expirations and follows up promptly on these items.

Handles prompt review of all premium audits recognizing that the Agency must process audits timely.

Processes and follows up on requests involving carriers or clients to ensure accurate and timely resolution.

Manages the accounts receivable on the book of business to assure timely collection of premiums. Reconciles accounting discrepancies. Follow up on aged trial balances according to company procedures.

Refers current and prospective clients to other departments for solicitation of those lines of business.

Candidates must have a P & C license and need to have worked in an AE or similar capacity in a paperless insurance agency specifically with large complex accounts.
