My client is a growing national insurance brokerage with offices across the USA.  Due to a recent promotion to a team leadership role, they are looking to add a new Senior Account Manager in their Beaverton, Oregon office. You will be part of a 3-person team that manages a 2.2-Million-dollar book that has a heavy contractor focus.  There are also hotel, restaurant, and distribution accounts.  Premiums range from $75,000 to $500,000 and they use AMS360.  The team consists of the Team Leader, Senior Account Manager, and the Commercial Assistant. You will be responsible for Underwriting negotiations, marketing, and other daily account management tasks needed to carry out the risk management plan.

My client is a rapidly growing National Insurance brokerage with over 150 agencies in 31 states.  This new Commercial Assistant role is in their well-established La Grande office.  It is a Mon to Fri in-office role which can then move to hybrid once you are fully trained and familiar with the accounts.

You will be supporting 2 long-time Account Managers with renewal processing and daily service tasks such as certs, endorsements, billing questions, and other policy service requests.  The book is a mix of hobby and commercial farms, equestrian coverages, and small businesses.  The agency is on EPIC, and they will train on the system.  This is an excellent opportunity to build on your insurance coverage knowledge and work towards becoming an Account Manager with your own book of business.

My client is a growing insurance brokerage in Medford, Oregon.  They are hiring a new Commercial Lines Account Manager.  You will be sharing the account manager responsibilities of the book with the Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager.  The book is about 2 Million in premium and is comprised of about 2/3 contractors and the rest general business.  The agency is on EPIC. This is a busy book and is mostly Oregon based businesses.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide general service to Commercial Insurance clients, including processing endorsements, making changes, issuing certificates of insurance, and answering policy questions.
  • Process renewals of accounts, including Agency Billed E&S policies.
  • Handle rewrites and re-marketing activities, involving the Account Executive as needed.
  • Write new business accounts.
  • Cross-sell current clients to round accounts.

My client is a well-established insurance brokerage in Eugene.  They have many niche markets and very loyal customers.  They are searching for their next rising star Producer.  This is a rare opportunity to build a book of business with a 3-year W2 validation salary validation program.  You will work with the Sales Director to develop a sales and marketing plan to target companies in your desired niches. The agency has specialties in Public Entity, Trucking, Construction/bonds, manufacturing, farms/ranches, and tribal risks.  You will not have a minimum premium allowing you to sell to all sizes of accounts.

They will team you with Senior Producers who will act as mentors and subject matter experts as you develop prospects and set initial meetings.  They use a Team Sales approach to allow you to develop your coverage knowledge as you build your book of business. You will have tenured Commercial Account Manager support to help you market and place business as well as handle day to day servicing.

Your year one sales goal is $75,000 in new business revenue.  You will be paid 40% on new business and 30% on renewals and will have an expense program.

You will not have to be in the office daily, however, you will have regularly scheduled office/meeting time with sales leaders and your Account Manager team.  You will be given all IT to allow you to work from the field or your home office.  The agency uses AMS360 for agency management and Sales Force for tracking new business opportunities.  You will be provided training on all computer systems.

Your focus will be on identifying potential opportunities by leveraging leads, marketing campaigns, and referrals.  You will also develop content marketing, newsletters, and other networking opportunities to help drive new opportunities.

Candidates need to have a P & C license and some insurance agency experience either in sales or account management. Previous outside B2B sales in another industry that you would like to target as one of your niche insurance markets is a huge plus.

• Initiates appropriate correspondence with carriers and clients. Responds to requests from clients and insurance companies.
• Maintains files with proper records according to company procedures.
• Assists in the development of strong business relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel.
• Ensures accuracy of account information for renewal policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy in rating, coverage, signatures, and enters these transactions to generate billing invoices in a timely manner.

Candidates need to have 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Middle Market Insurance Agency Account Manager. Experience with layered property is desired. Must have an Oregon P & C license, and strong MS Office skills.
