My client is a National Insurance Brokerage. Due to growth, they want to hire another Middle Market Commercial Lines account manager. You will support 4 to 5 Producers on a generalist middle market book with about 80 clients and $550,000 in revenue. You will have full autonomy for your accounts and will be the main point of contact. You will have an assistant to help with processing renewals and other daily service requests. The agency uses AMS360 and all processes are clearly outlined.

The agency offers flexible work arrangements. You will be based out of either their Everett, Auburn, or University Place offices. You can work from home but will need to be available 1 to 2 times/month for occasional office staff meetings and may be requested to travel locally with a producer for key renewal meetings.

Key job responsibilities:

The agent will pay for your 40-hour WA State Licensing class, exam, and fingerprints, and then once licensed, you will be paid $20 to $25 (hourly) plus commission on all new sales. How the training program works: You will spend the first week in the Agent’s office doing the 40-hour online licensing class. All work is done over the phone, online, and over text. You will work Mon to Fri 9 am to 6 pm at the office. You will work with both Armenian and English-speaking customers. Your goal will be to write at least 30 new insurance applications in the first 90 days working up to 50 applications or more each month. You will get a percentage of the insurance premium for auto and home policies, and an additional bonus per policy written in addition to your hourly wage. 1st year income of $70,000 or more is expected in this role based on the number of applications you write each month.

They want to hire another Personal Lines Account Manager.  The new team member needs to be from an be from an independent insurance agency with current knowledge off Carrier’s appetites for risk.

They use EPIC agency management software which they will train on. The book is about $225,000 in revenue. Accounts are mostly Personal Lines Package policies.

As an Account Manager, you will be supporting the Personal Lines Producer by processing renewals for existing clients as well as acting as their claims advocate.  When dealing with premium increases, you will present options to offset increases such as increasing deductibles or other cost saving options.  In the event of needing to remarket, you will send the file to the team Marketing Rep who will provide alternative Carrier options that you can present to the insured. You will also do cross-sales to the account when appropriate.  Lower complexity service tasks will be processed by the Team CSR.
