My client is a growing insurance brokerage in Medford, Oregon. They are hiring a new Commercial Insurance Account Manager. The book is a little over 1.7 million in premium and is a mix of small and mid-sized accounts. The agency is on EPIC. This is a busy book with lots of contractors and other Oregon based businesses. You will be partnered with a Producer who was promoted from this role. This allows you to work together to learn the accounts and take over the book.
Key responsibilities:
Provide general service to Commercial Insurance clients, including processing endorsements, making changes, issuing certificates of insurance, and answering policy questions.
Process renewals of accounts, including Agency Billed E&S policies.
Handle rewrites and re-marketing activities, involving the Account Executive as needed.
Write new business accounts.
Cross-sell current clients to round accounts.

My client is a well-established insurance agency located in Issaquah, WA. He has won the Chairman’s Circle Award for several years and is recognized as a leader in the industry. He is looking to add a new team member who speaks fluent Armenian, Russian, or Ukrainian. This is an in-office Mon to Fri permanent staff role. At target, you should make $70K or more first year. You will have paid vacation, sick time, and he will also pay for your personal health insurance after 90 days on the job.

How the training program works: Upon successful completion of the background check, you will go on payroll as a W2 agency employee and you will begin the in-house training with senior staff members which will teach you how to do policy service, quote rates, work with underwriters, and do other account service tasks. All work is done over the phone, online, and over text. You will work Mon to Fri 9 am to 6 pm at the office. You will work with Russian, Ukrainian, Armenian, and English-speaking customers. You will review current policies and quote renewal rates, and you will quote on new business. Your goal is to write a minimum of 30 new insurance policies/mo. You will get a percentage of the insurance premium for auto and home policies, and an additional bonus per policy written in addition to base wage.
Candidates need to have a P & C Insurance license (L & D a plus), fast computer skills, a desire to learn and grow in the insurance industry and be coachable. The agency has over 10,000 households and you will handle about 1600 customers splitting the book with other service staff in the office. You will handle renewals, handle daily service requests to add/remove vehicles, issue certs, and assist with billing questions and taking payments. You will also handle walk-ins, call-ins, and any emails requesting a quote. You will not be doing any new business cold calling. You will be an Account Executive supporting one key Producer on a 1.5M revenue book with 15 accounts. These are very large habitational risks. Your team will consist of 3 Account Managers with CSRs for processing support. This is a hybrid role with 3 days/week in the office to allow for great team culture and mentoring opportunities. You will be the subject matter expert for the accounts and the quarterback for the Producer for all renewals and RFP’s.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintains and enhances relationships with existing clients by executing proactive, creative, and on-going contact initiatives
- Proactively understands the requirements and needs of a client account
- Provide strategic planning and consulting advice to clients including the production of Requests for Proposal, coordination of vendor responses, analysis and comparison of RFP responses, and preparation of a client report with recommendations
