If you live in WA, OR, ID, or Northern CA, have your P & C insurance license, and want to take your insurance career to the next level to start learning how to manage commercial lines accounts, this new support role is for you.

My client is a regional Pacific Northwest insurance brokerage. Due to growth, they are adding a new Commercial Lines Associate to their service team. This junior role is designed to teach you how to support Senior Account Managers with account renewal and daily service tasks. It is a career track role which will give you the tools and training to grow into a Commercial Lines Account Manager in a 2-to-3-year training program. This is a non-selling role requiring strong computer skills and detail orientation and the ability to easily move from task to task throughout the day. The role allows you to build on the P & C training you already have in an insurance agency and to learn how to manage a commercial book. Hours are Mon to Fri 8:30 to 4:30 pm PST. (37.5 hour work week).

Key job duties:

The Commercial Lines Associate Account Manager is a primary support role for the client service team. You will support the Account Manager and Account Executive/Producer by handling delegated day to day service tasks.

  • Support the client service team as requested by handling the day to day delegated tasks in a timely manner per department procedures. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients and carrier partners. Maintain and service client files: Invoice premium bearing transactions.
  • Track and help resolve late payment/cancellation/reinstatement issues.
  • Prepare renewal application booklets, request loss runs and provide to service team for delivery to client.
  • Prepare account summaries as assigned.
  • Prepare and process cancellations when assigned per agency procedures.
  • Prepare and process all certificate requests, evidence of property requests, and auto id card requests as required within 24 hours of request per agency procedures.
  • Prepare and process all rush certificate requests within 2 hours of request per agency procedures.
  • Oversee issuance of renewal certificates ensuring delivery to all required parties.
  • Update client renewal data with various government agencies as required.
  • Request updates on open claims from carrier and provide detail to client service terms to assist in claims management issues.
  • Maintain suspense items in a timely manner.

Candidates must have a P & C license, at least 2 years of personal lines agency experience, or commercial assistant experience in an insurance agency setting. No other experience will be considered for this role. Candidates must live in WA, OR, ID, or Northern CA to be considered for this remote role.
