Job Description:

If you live in the Puget Sound area of Washington State or the Greater Portland area of Oregon, are a P & C licensed Commercial Lines Account Executive or a Senior Account Manager who is ready to become an AE and you have a passion for helping Producers find the right Carrier markets for their new business prospects, this new Account Executive role is for you.

My client is an independent insurance brokerage in the Puget Sound area. They have recently hired new Producers and acquired a new agency, and they need to hire a new AE with strong commercial insurance coverage and Carrier knowledge who can help them market the new risks.  These will be accounts with $25,000 or more in premium.  You will be working closely with the CL Producer team to identify competitive Carrier markets and put together submissions for new business.  When needed, you will go out to meet with prospective insureds as part of the new business process.  You will quarterback the onboarding of the new insured and will introduce their Account Manager team who will handle the day-to-day service tasks. You will have an ongoing responsibility to lead client relationship for contract analysis, coverage, and exposure analysis, directing endorsement activity, problem-solving, directing renewal management, directing preparation of quotes/proposals, and directing binding of coverage.

This is a client-facing role which allows you to be involved with peer review, mentoring junior staff, and providing key marketing support to the Commercial Producer Team.  This is a salaried role with year end bonus.  There will be occasional travel in the WA and OR areas with Producers as needed to support new business goals.  You will also work closely with Carriers and Underwriters to stay abreast of appetites and new risk programs.

Candidates must have a P & C license, reside in Western WA or Western OR, and have 7 years of Senior Account Manager experience with solid generalist coverage knowledge. Experience with EPIC and professional insurance designations are a huge plus.  Must be able to do local travel as needed to support new business.
