If you live in Washington or Oregon, have your Life & Health insurance license and at least 2 years of insurance agency small group employee benefits account manager experience using Wired Quote, this new work from home role could be an excellent fit.
My client is a growing national insurance brokerage. This Employee Benefits Account Manager is part of their Small Business Unit. You will be responsible for about 80 groups that range from 2 to 50 lives with a focus on account retention. The groups are in Oregon and Washington. You will use Wired Quote for renewals as well as Excel. You will have lots of autonomy and will handle the renewal from start to finish including the onlne enrollment meetings. During Q4, you will also have admin help for ID cards, packets etc. Most of the groups are written with small group carriers, although there are some Association groups. Employee Navigator is used with some of the SBU clients.
The company will ship you all IT needed for the job. They offer base salary, year-end bonus based on company metrics, and a rich benefits package.
Client Support duties include:
- Maintains accurate client information to provide day-to-day client support and address intermediate-level client inquiries.
- Assists in the development of strong business relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel. Recognizes and satisfies carrier goals and objectives to enhance business relationships.
- Conducts quarterly service status calls to assigned book of business clients.
- Assists in completion and processing of applications; Schedules, prepares for, and supports open enrollment meetings.
- Support in client retention by maintaining a positive relationship and image with clients.
- Account Management
- Supports in enrollment, benchmarking, financial and utilization data based on financial review standards.
- Maintains all client information in accordance with both company procedures and HIPAA regulations. Follows company procedures in order to achieve positive audit results.
- Ensures accuracy of account information for both new and renewal policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy. Works with carrier to ensure accuracy of client information and forms. Communicates any outstanding or impactful topics from the carrier back to the client.
- Oversees installation of the group on renewal. Finalizes enrollment with carrier and reports the results to team members.
- Support maintenance of agency management system, communication system, and other tools.
- Collects forms/data/schedules for regulatory compliance.
- Insurance Expertise
- Leverages technical knowledge to ensure carrier quotes are received in a timely fashion; Reviews quotes for gaps and assists with inquiries from the carrier.
- Updates BenefitPoint in a timely manner including updates to on-going activity.
Candidates must live in Washington or Oregon State and have knowledge of the small group Carrier market and insurance programs. You must have a Life & Health license, 2 years of employee benefits agency experience, and the ability to manage a renewal start to finish. Wired Quote experience is strongly preferred.
