My client is an independent insurance agency located in Washington State that is experiencing rapid growth. They are looking for a Spanish/English speaking P & C licensed Personal Lines Account Manager who knows independent Carrier markets who can help with daily servicing activities such as adding vehicles, making changes to policies, answering phones, taking payments, and quoting on company-provided leads. You will not be required to get the leads or to cold call.

The agency uses AMS360.  Most of the clients in this book of business are in WA state. You will be servicing a book with about 1-1.5 Million in premium.  You will be expected to have a distraction free dedicated home office and you will work Mon to Fri 8:30 to 5 pm Pacific time, 40 hours/week. (firm schedule that will not change).  All IT will be shipped to you. You will work 100% remotely with no company office visits. You will work independently with only regularly scheduled video team meetings.

The client strongly prefers to hire a WA State P & C licensed agent. If you live outside of WA State, you must live in the PST, MST, AZ, or AK time zones to facilitate team communication.  You will also need to get a WA Non-Resident P & C license. No CST and EST zone candidates will be considered for this role.  No Direct writer experience will be considered for this role.

Salary will be $26/hour with a KPI (Key performance Indicators) quarterly bonus opportunity for new business and cross-sales. Yearly bonus opportunity is expected to be between $2000 and $6000 depending on performance to KPI’s.  Bonus is paid quarterly. You are also eligible for a raise each quarter based on meeting your KPI’s. You can also earn commission on new business leads. There are periodic contests throughout the year where you can earn extra money, and there is also a bonus for the agency hitting its quarterly goal. Typical agency goal quarterly bonuses have been in the $500 to $750 range over the last few years. Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits are provided with the company covering 100% of the premium. There are 10 days of paid vacation prorated from your start date, 9 paid holidays, and 7 sick days.

Background required: P & C license and a minimum of 3 years of recent independent insurance agency experience. Knowledge of Safeco and other preferred market carriers and current market appetites are required. AMS360 is strongly preferred.  You must be able to discuss insurance products in both Spanish and English fluently.

My client is a growing independent insurance agency located in Washington State. They write business in 12 Western States. You will be taking over for a retiring Commercial Lines Account Manager who has been with them for 7 years who is leaving in April 2024.

The book is all in-house accounts without an assigned Producer.  There are about 600 policies, 400 clients, and 2.2M in premium.  Most of these accounts are written with wholesalers and the ones that are written with admitted carriers are more complex and $10,000 or more in premium.  The agency uses AMS360 and all IT will be shipped to you.  You will work 100% from your dedicated home office with no office time required.

The position involves lots of phone and email communication with clients and preparation of proposals for renewal. You will have an assistant to handle cert work. Salary is $28 to $30/hour. You will also receive 20% of agency revenue on new business commission and new and renewal broker fees that you generate. The current account manager is earning about $1000/mo in broker fees in addition to the hourly wage.

Hours are Mon to Fri, 40 hours per week, 8 am to 5 pm Pacific Time.  Overtime will not be necessary in this role. A 100% company-premium paid Regence benefits package is available along with 9 paid holidays and 10 days of paid vacation prorated from start date.
Candidates must have previous commercial lines insurance account manager experience in an independent agency working fully remote in a dedicated home office with high-speed internet and an active P & C license. You will support three advisors and your day will be a mix of client, advisor, and administrative support. This position is strictly administrative support for the Advisors, there are no sales requirements in this role.

Work hours are Mon to Fri 8:30 am to 5 pm. This is a 100% in-office role. This admin role has 3 elements, Advisor Support, Client Support, and General Admin Support.

Advisor Support:

  • Meet with clients to review new business documents and obtain client and advisor signatures.
  • Meet with advisor to review instructions when preparing to meet with new clients.
  • Place trades (buy/sell) and complete necessary documentation to handle the processing of trades.
  • Prepare documents for account opening, transfer of assets, etc.
  • Prepare withdrawal worksheets for advisor review.
  • Handle phone calls, faxes, and e-mails from clients.
  • Communicate actions taken to advisor that pertain to him/her directly, and record in Contact Management System (CRM).
  • Review the CRM dashboard daily and identify items that need to be addressed and handled, confirm the task is completed, and record notes in CRM.
    • Reviewing system for withdrawals, Insufficient funds for periodic distributions, including RMD’s, updated 1099s, and outgoing transfers

Client Support:

  • Establish online access to financial planning software or other pertinent websites
  • Obtain signatures on any changes made that require new documents
  • Handle client-initiated requests. These requests include questions and paperwork regarding:
  • Contact clients with any changes in their accounts.
  • Document all contact and actions taken with client in CRM.
  • Financial planning software enrollment or questions
  • Establishing ACH instructions for periodic distributions
  • Making deposits and taking withdrawals
  • Personal information and beneficiary updates
  • Cost basis information
  • Tax reporting inquiries or issues

Administrative Support:

  • Work with team members in preparing documents for client signature, returning calls, scheduling appointments, scheduling prospect and client attendance at seminars.
  • Update checklists and workflows for the CRM and support other team members as situations arise.
  • Follow the prescribed checklists and workflows that pertain to the position.
  • Filing of all client documents, including electronic document storage facility.
  • Scanning and attaching documents in the CRM.
  • Assist with answering phone calls or delegating faxes to appropriate staff.

The position requires at least 2 years in a financial services firm in an administrative-related role supporting advisors with a Series 7 license, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with financial planning software. Salary range is $75,000 to $90,000 DOE.
