If you are an experienced Middle Market Commercial Lines Account Manager living along the I-5 corridor from Vancouver, WA to Eugene, Oregon, and you want the option to work from home with only some occasional client travel, my agency client wants to talk to you!

My client is a National Insurance Brokerage.  You will be part of their Oregon State Middle Market Service Team. This is a new role due to growth. You will be supporting 2 to 3 Producers with their new business efforts.  They are going after accounts with at least $5,000 in revenue. Generalist coverage knowledge is needed as you will handle a wide range of risks ranging from Manufacturing, Transportation, Real Estate, Construction, and wholesale/distribution, and hospitality. The agency uses EPIC.

This is a Mon to Fri permanent staff role. The agency offers excellent benefits, retirement, PTO, bonus opportunity, mentoring and lots of career growth. They have a compliment of Account Coordinators to help with processing tasks.

You will market the risk, negotiate with the Underwriters to obtain the best cost/coverage plan, prepare the proposal for Producer review, and if needed, travel with the Producer for Team introductions. Once the new business is placed, you will continue to support the client with daily service requests, participating in steward ship and other renewal meetings during the year.

Key job aspects:

• Develops complete client information and applications for new and renewal business under the direction of the Producer, Senior Account Executive, or Account Executive. Markets the risk and negotiates with Underwriters to obtain the best risk program.  Develops the proposal for review with Producers.
• Identifies and requests renewal exposures.
• Guides clients through the renewal process, in conjunction with the Producer, Senior Account Executive, or Account Executive, and submits requests to carriers according to the renewal process timetable, follows up with carrier underwriters and completes the appropriate renewal per Agency procedures.
• Processes change requests/endorsements, binders, certificates, account summaries, proposals, policies, lost policy releases, audit, and account balance status when requested. Ensures that these items are given to the client in a timely manner.
• Initiates appropriate correspondence with carriers and clients. Responds to requests from clients and insurance companies.
• Maintains files with proper records according to company procedures.
• Assists in the development of strong business relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel.
• Ensures accuracy of account information for both new and renewal policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy in rating, coverage, signatures, and enters these transactions to generate billing invoices in a timely manner.
• Reviews all premium audits according to Agency procedures recognizing that the Agency must process in a timely manner.
• Determines reasons for requests for cancellation and follows cancellation procedures accordingly.

Candidates need to have 3+ years of Senior Middle Market Insurance Agency Account Manager experience, a P & C license with strong MS Office skills and must be able to market and negotiate with Underwriters and be client facing with the Insureds.

Note: If you want to work from home, you must live in the Vancouver, WA to Eugene, OR area to allow for easy client travel or all-agency meetings. No other States will be considered.
