If you are a Senior Level Commercial Lines Account Manager living in one of the Pacific time zone states, and you have experience working with large property, real estate, and hospitality accounts, this remote role is for you.

My client is a large National brokerage with offices across the USA. This role is based out of their Seattle branch.  You would support one tenured producer. Your book would be about $800,000 revenue with accounts of $20,000 revenue or larger.  These are primarily property management, large apartment complexes, mixed use real estate, and large restaurant chains.  You will be supported by an Account Assistant who has been on the book for several years as well as an Account Executive who will provide peer review. You will also be aided with help with front end account auditing for remarketing on existing accounts.  You will negotiate with Underwriters and be the main point person for your accounts.

Note to remote workers: The majority of the accounts are in WA state.  The team is all in the Pacific time zone. Only candidates who are from Pacific, Mountain, or AZ, or AK time zones will be considered for fully remote roles.  Some client travel will be required during the year for key renewals.

Key job aspects:

  • Meets directly with clients.
  • Negotiates and sells lines of insurance to clients. Designs insurance and risk management plans for clients as assigned and directed by Agency management.
  • Provides clients with full exposure analysis and reviews methods of handling risks. Works with the producer to write new business accounts.
  • Sells in place of or in coordination with superior personnel
  • Leads accounts through the renewal process per department procedures.
  • Assists in the development of strong personal relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel.
  • Processes or oversees process of change-request/endorsements, binders, certificates, account summaries, proposals, policies, lost policy releases, audits, and account balance status as needed.
  • Handles prompt review of all premium audits recognizing that the Agency must process audits timely.
  • Process and follows up on all requests involving carriers or clients to ensure accurate and timely resolution
  • Occasional travel is expected in this role.

Candidates need to have a minimum of 5 years of middle to large market experience as a Commercial Lines Account Manager in an agency setting.  Experience with AMS360 is a huge plus.  Professional designations are a bonus.
