If you have a couple of years of experience working in a P & C licensed service/support role at an insurance agency and you want to get on the fast career track towards managing large complex commercial accounts, this new role is for you.

My retail insurance brokerage client is located in Oregon. They are growing and need to hire 1 more Commercial Lines Coordinator to support their Senior Living Team vertical. These are large complex accounts with lots of moving pieces and many layers of insurance.  This team supports their new business account activities stemming from BOR’s as well as new organic accounts.

The position is Mon to Fri, full time, and you can work remote anywhere in the USA during core business hours. The agency offers salary, benefits, 401K, and bonus program. The agency uses EPIC agency management software. You must have a dedicated home office space with high-speed internet that is completely distraction free during your work hours.  All IT will be shipped to you which includes laptop, docking station, dual monitors and supporting equipment. The workspace must be secure and can accommodate the workstation set up on a permanent basis.  You will have “video on” regularly scheduled meetings with the team and one on one’s with Producers and Managers for account reviews and status meetings.

This position offers great training and mentoring and provides opportunities to work on professional insurance designations which are company paid. The Team Director is heavily involved in weekly group trainings and does fun video lunch/learns to promote team culture and advanced learning with specific training topics each week.  Senior Account Managers will help you to understand the complexities of the risks and coverage programs to prepare you to promote into an Account Manager role in the future.

Key elements of the position include:

  • Enters accurate client information into system applications.
  • Processes change requests, follows up with carriers as needed, reviews endorsements for accuracy, and generates accurate invoices.
  • Creates general correspondence to carriers and clients.
  • Sets up Notice of Cancellations and Reinstatements.
  • Processes final cancellations.
  • Processes final audits and sends to insured.
  • Updates Lost Business spreadsheet.
  • Issues certificates of insurance and evidences of property.
  • Prepares policies, renewals, and other documents for delivery to insured.
  • Rates lines of coverage as needed.

Background needed: P & C license and two years of insurance agency support experience ideally in commercial lines, but personal lines is acceptable. EPIC experience is a huge plus. The position requires strong computer proficiency with Excel and Word along with superior organization, detail orientation, and multi-tasking skills.
