My client is a national insurance brokerage with offices throughout the USA.  You will work as part of the Personal Lines team based out of either their Lake Oswego, Forest Grove, or Eugene, Oregon offices.  You will be in a flexible hybrid schedule to allow you time to meet clients and referral partners as needed. The expectation is that you would be available at least 1 day in the office each week for meetings or events. There is no walk-in business. The agency is on EPIC and works with the majority of the Preferred Personal Lines Carriers such as Safeco, Pemco, Travelers, etc.  Most accounts will be preferred package business in the $1000 to $7500+ Premium range.  You will be taking over for a retiring producer allowing you to train into the role.  You will have a tenured Account Manager who will support you with daily service needs and renewal marketing.

You will be paid a salary, full benefits, and 40% commissions on new business and 25% on renewal.  Sales goals are $25,000 agency revenue in year one. You will write business from referrals and will also work with the local community to foster additional business relationships to drive new business. There are also opportunities to cross sell existing business from Commercial and benefits customers.

  • Prospect: involves using our Sales Tools to identify and cold contact potential clients
  • Use Sales Tools to identify cross sell opportunities
  • Follow up on leads
  • Enter all contacts into our CRM
  • Participate in activities that maintain and expand current book of business
  • Be involved in current market and maintain Carrier relationships
  • Travel is expected to be up to 50% in this role and will be concentrated in Oregon in the greater Portland area down to Eugene.

Candidates need to have an Oregon P & C license and at least 2 years of agency experience along with solid insurance knowledge.
