Location: Seattle, WA (downtown)

Work Type: Hybrid

Salary: $70,000 to $88,000 DOE

Category: Commercial Lines

If you have experience as a Commercial Lines Account Manager and have a desire to grow your technical skills with large complex accounts, my agency client wants to talk to you.

My client is a large national insurance brokerage with offices across the USA.  This role is based out of their downtown Seattle office. You will be a member of the Large Accounts Team.  Because it takes time to learn the nuances of each account’s complex risk strategies, you will start out doing Account Manager work on various accounts to help the Team with current renewals.  As you become familiar with each client, the Team Lead will be transitioning accounts over to your desk.  This will be an ongoing process over the first 12 months until your desk is fully established and you have developed a solid relationship with the account stakeholders.

The office is on AMS360 and this team handles a wide array of large accounts with a heavy mix of Transportation and Construction. You will be receiving direction from the AE who will identify the renewal tasks needed for each account.  This is not low-level Assistant work.  Your role is that of a large accounts Account Manager “floater” for the team.  The goal is to have you help balance the workload for the team for upcoming renewals, giving you the ability to learn workflows, and establish relationships with Underwriters, Producers, and others involved in the Risk Management strategy.

The company provides a lovely downtown office with sky views, great benefits, and ORCA card, and a great work/life balance.  This team works a hybrid schedule with everyone in the office on Tues, Wed, and Thurs, with optional work-from-home days on Mon and Fri.  This team is a fun group that works efficiently together on their office days and stays in touch via video tools when they are working from their home office. They work with intention and have a strong dedication to superior client service.

Candidates need to have Client facing skills, at least 4 years of middle or large market Commercial Lines Account Manager experience with a generalist coverage understanding across all lines, and have a desire to continue to develop their large account skills, obtain insurance certifications, and be able to commute to downtown Seattle on the designated hybrid schedule. P & C license required.
