My client is looking to add a new Personal Lines Account Manager to support a large book of established long-term clients. You will work out of their University of WA area agency which is on both the bus and train line, and they have free parking! This is a great opportunity to become a key senior person in the Personal Lines Department.

The agency has access to many quality insurance companies offering competitive auto, home, boat, umbrella, and other insurance products. Primary carriers include PEMCO, Safeco, Progressive, MetLife, and Travelers. The office uses AMS360 and is paperless.

The agency believes in giving back to the community and they participate in various charity events and 5K walks for causes important to their employees.

Your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Counsel and advise policy holders and prospective clients on matters of insurance protection and coverage options.
  • Provide prompt, efficient, friendly, high-quality service to customers over the phone, email, and in-person.
  • Market new and renewal business.
  • Process new business, renewals, quotes, cancellations, changes in coverage, conduct policy reviews, and other transactions.

Candidates need to have a WA P & C license and at least 3 years as a personal lines Account Management experience with an independent agency in paperless setting. Soft skills include a penchant for learning and a velvet touch with customers. Knowledge of AMS360 is a huge plus. This is permanent, full time staff role. Hours are Mon to Fri with flexible start times. There is also commission paid on new business. After 30-90 days for training/onboarding, you can move to a hybrid schedule if desired.  Full remote is not available for this role.
