If you live in the Portland area, but don’t want to hassle with the downtown Portland traffic or pay for parking, and you have at least 3 years of Commercial Lines Account Manager experience in a retail agency, this could be your new job!

My client is a long-standing independent insurance brokerage located just a few minutes from downtown Portland, OR. This new role will support a mix of Senior and Junior producers with a wide mix of middle market and some smaller commercial accounts. The agency is on TAM/Applied software and is paperless.

This role is ideal for someone who knows their commercial coverages across all lines and wants to work in the office daily. You will have lots of direct client contact over the phone, email, and sometimes in person, and you will have lots of autonomy. You will not be micro-managed in this role! This is a position you can retire from or you can continue to build your career with.

The company offers excellent medical benefits with very little out of pocket, 401K and profit sharing with match, free parking, and paid continuing education. Hours are Mon to Fri 8:30 am to 5:15 pm. The agency also has fun employee events such as holiday parties and summer picnics. Year-end bonus is also available based on company performance.

Candidates need to have an OR P & C license, 3 years of insurance agency experience with commercial lines carriers, generalist coverage knowledge across all lines, and a great “can do” attitude with solid problem solving skills and the ability to work independently.
