If your insurance support services career includes experience as a Commercial Lines Account Executive with large accounts, strong team mentoring skills, and superior insurance contracts coverage knowledge, then this new position is for you.
My client is a large boutique insurance brokerage with offices throughout the United States. This is a Seattle based Senior support services team role. You will partner with Producers, Account Managers, Assistant Account Managers, and others in the agency to deliver a high level of service to commercial clients. The goal of this role is to develop professional working relationships with clients, insurance companies, and agency staff to maintain accounts and promote a positive and nurturing working environment.
The book of business that you will preside over will be about $1 Million in revenue and the team will have 1 to 2 Account Managers along with junior associates. This vertical is financial institutions consisting of private equity, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, and other portfolio based firms. These are large key accounts that demand a high degree of technical insurance coverage knowledge in the areas of D & O, E & O, loss control, and underwriter negotiations. The position is client facing and requires strong communication skills and ability to manage high level relationships over phone, email, and in Board room meetings. Occasional PNW travel will be required during peak renewal times. You will be the right hand for a tenured Producer who is known for his expertise in financial institution accounts.
The position is in-office and allows for 1 to 2 days work from home after you are comfortable with the accounts. The agency is on EPIC. Key aspects of this role include:
Provide Insurance Program Design and Strategy by review existing program and making recommendations to the client for the most appropriate coverage and program
Conduct regular meetings with highly placed points of contact, developing relationships at the General Counsel, CFO and CEO level. Engage with the client’s various operation and account departments.
Work with Carrier and Internal Practices to bring multi-level risk management service to clients. Includes Carrier Form Review and Analysis.
Interact with others effectively by utilizing good communications skills, cooperating purposefully and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the goals of the company.
Assist co-workers in responding to client inquiries or processing work, when needed.
Marketing and Sales: Assist with New Business Placement/RFP through Exposure Analysis and Marketing
Cross Sell to Client on P&C Program and other Department needs (Benefits, Financial Services, Surety, Personal Lines).
Candidates need to have at least 15 years of commercial insurance large account management experience with polished client facing skills. P & C license is required. Insurance certifications are strongly desired. Salary is negotiable DOE. Out of state candidates with large brokerage account experience are encouraged to apply and some relocation assistance is available.
