If you have experience managing retail agency commercial insurance support operations for a large independent Insurance brokerage, your P & C license, and a knack for training and development of staff, my client wants to talk to you.

My client is a large insurance multi-location brokerage.  This is an in-house office role that supports the VP of Commercial Lines Insurance.  The position requires a strong mix of Commercial Lines Support Operations management and knowledge of commercial insurance workflow and compliance standards needed in a retail agency. You will be based out of Bothell, WA and will be responsible for the Commercial Support Operations for four Washington state agency locations.  You will have 5 Team Leads reporting to you along with overseeing the production/efficiency of about 70 support staff ranging from Commercial Assistants to Senior Commercial Account Managers.

Key job duties are as follows:

Manages the Team Leads and support staff to ensure productivity and individual engagement

Provides recommendations for hiring and assists with new hire onboarding processes

Champions communication of goals, vision, and procedures developed by the leadership teams

Works with Operational Team Leaders, Accounting, Human Resources and other to manage employee and implement projects and directives

Trains employees on duties, expectations, standards, policies and audits.

Directs employee workflow, workload and overall performance

Provides feedback to management and employees about service structure to improve performance and productivity

Assures client service standards are being met

Assists the Senior VP of Commercial Lines in a wide variety of projects, meetings, documentation, reports, spreadsheets and communication

Promotes awareness and assistance of the carrier’s products, assists with websites, sets and attends carrier meetings for Commercial Lines

Fosters a sales driven environment and superior customer service with a team focus and effort

Works with third party vendors on procedures and workflows

To be considered for this role, candidates need to be P & C licensed, knowledgeable with commercial insurance products, procedures, and restrictions, and have experience working in a similar commercial insurance support role at a retail brokerage.
