My client is a Snohomish County rapidly growing independent insurance agency. This is an inside sales position. You will be have a sales lead program of internet leads as well as carrier leads for a wide variety of small business risks. The agency is paperless and uses AMS360.

You will make about bound calls to go over coverages needed, review current policies, and provide a quote for a new insurance program. You will track opportunities in AMS360, close business, and follow it through for payment. You will have CSR help for daily service needs. You will be paid a salary and commission on new and renewal business. First year is expected to be $50K+ (combination of salary and commission).

This is a full time permanent role with free parking, benefits available after 90 days, and a great family-friendly work atmosphere.

Licensed Admin for Financial Advisor Office

If you have your Series 7 and 63 and have worked in an admin support capacity in a Financial Advisor’s office, my client wants to talk to you!

My client is a boutique well-respected financial wealth management firm located in Bellevue, WA. They reside in a lovely office with free parking. They have a very loyal cliental many of whom have been with the firm for many years. The firm treats their employees like family with a strong commitment to work/life balance.

The position includes an industry top end hourly wage of $28 to $33, DOE, a rare 100% paid benefits for the employee, a generous PTO plan, and a solid yearly bonus. Work hours are 8 am to 5 pm Mon to Fri with no weekends required.

Your day will be a mix of advisor, client, and administrative support:

Advisor Support:

  1. Meet with clients to review new business documents and obtain client and advisor signatures.
  2. Meet with advisor to review instructions when preparing to meet with new clients.
  3. Place trades (buy/sell) and complete necessary documentation to handle the processing of trades.
  4. Prepare documents for account opening, transfer of assets, etc.
  5. Prepare withdrawal worksheets for advisor review.

Reviewing system for:

  1. Withdrawals
  2. Insufficient funds for periodic distributions, including RMD’s
  3. Updated 1099s
  4. Outgoing transfers

Handle phone calls, faxes, and e-mails from clients and take action needed in response to inquiry. Communicate actions taken to advisor that pertain to him/her directly, and record in Contact Management System (CRM).

Review the CRM dashboard daily, and identify items that need to be addressed and handled, confirm the task is completed, and record notes in CRM.

Client Support:

Meeting with clients to:

  1. Establish online access to financial planning software or other pertinent websites
  2. Obtain signatures on any changes made that require new documents

Handle client-initiated requests. These requests include questions and paperwork regarding:

  1. Financial planning software enrollment or questions
  2. Establishing ACH instructions for periodic distributions
  3. Making deposits and taking withdrawals
  4. Personal information and beneficiary updates
  5. Cost basis information
  6. Tax reporting inquiries or issues

Contact clients with any changes in their accounts.
Document all contact and actions taken with client in CRM.

Administrative Support:

Work with team members in preparing documents for client signature, returning calls, scheduling appointments, scheduling prospect and client attendance at seminars.

  1. Update checklists and workflows for the CRM, and support other team members as situations arise.
  2. Follow the prescribed checklists and workflows that pertain to your position.
  3. Filing of all client documents, including electronic document storage facility.
  4. Scanning and attaching documents in the CRM.
  5. Assist with answering phone calls or delegating faxes to appropriate staff.

Soft skills required include:

  • A penchant for accuracy and detail
  • Ability to work patiently with high net worth clientele, many of whom are retired
  • Impeccable spelling, grammar, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Timely follow up and ability to prioritize tasks
  • A positive,” glass is half” full office demeanor
  • Technical skills required include and are non-negotiable:

  • Series 7 and 63; Series 65 is a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years of similar administrative support experience in a Financial Advisor’s office
  • Intermediate knowledge of Power Point, Word, Excel (you will be tested).
  • Ability to pass a criminal and background check.

    Commercial Lines Underwriter with Training Provided

    Key job specifics include:

    1. Review, analyze, underwrite, quote, bind and endorse new and renewal business within broad individual underwriting authority level.
    2. Make individual risk decisions relative to acceptability and price for business assigned with the focus on minimizing loss, while increasing profitability
    3. Rate and quote multi-state accounts in custom built underwriting system
    4. Request and obtain renewal information as needed.
    5. Request additional information from brokers as needed to underwrite new business.
    6. Communicate with brokers on status of quote and other issues of concern.
    7. Complete cancel/rewrite policies in accordance with carrier guidelines and company procedures.
    8. Review and process Broker of Record Letters in a timely manner, no later than 24 hours of receipt.
    9. Assist brokers with various tasks or requests such as higher level endorsements, final audit issues, troubleshooting, etc.
    10. Perform file documentations and underwriting notes in preparation for policy issuance.
    11. Review loss control reports for bound business and monitor for rec compliance.
    12. Review individual account claim frequency and severity during policy term and annual renewal as needed.
    13. Maintain solid broker relationships over the phone, email, and regular personal visits.
    14. Build and maintain favorable carrier relationships over the phone, email, and personal interaction.
    15. Assist other underwriters when workloads demand or when others are out of the office.
    16. Meet deadlines set forth by management and/or underwriters within the team.
    17. Meet production, retention, hit ratio, and profitability goals set forth by management.
    18. Successfully pass internal, state, and carrier file audit reviews.

    The client is looking for commercial insurance experience ideally from the insurance carrier or agency side, past underwriting experience is preferred. Any transportation coverage experience is a huge plus, but is not required. A WA P & C license is needed, but can be obtained once employed. Strong Microsoft Office skills are needed. Soft skills include the ability to creatively think about a risk, be coachable, be a good problem solver, be proficient at interfacing with a wide range of personalities, and being organized and able to work independently.
