My client is a growing independent insurance agency with operations across the West Coast. They are hiring an Insurance Assistant to work in their Ocean Marine Division. You will be part of a 3 person team comprised of a Producer, Account Executive, and you as the team coordinator/assistant account manager.
The client is located in downtown Seattle, with great views, on the bus line, right in the heart of the financial district. This is an hourly Mon to Fri office role with full benefits and career growth. The goal of the position is to teach you the nuances of Marine insurance so that you can start to manage small accounts and grow into an Account Manager.
You job will look like this:
Responsible for partnering with Account Managers or Account Executives and providing service with direct and regular client contact.
Prepare and review client communications and deliverables.
Independently manage endorsement process.
Manage successful outsourcing of workflows including, but not limited to, certificates of insurance, auto identification cards, policy checking and MVRs).
Manage certificate of insurance process.
Prepare, process and distribute endorsements and invoices.
Monitor and resolve billing discrepancies and perform reconciliations.
Execute consistent and accurate data and information entry and maintenance in various systems including AMS, ImageRight, etc.
Execute consistent and accurate database and document management processes and workflows.
Coordinate and own the renewal process for successful, timely execution.
Assist in the preparation and distribution of client deliverables.

Candidates need to have a WA P & C license and some agency experience with commercial coverages. Any marine insurance coverage knowledge is a huge plus, but not required.
