My client is an insurance agency that specializes in group benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc) for companies that have anywhere from 2 to 300 employees. They are in Fife, WA. The firm is known for being very client centered. They have a good team culture with strong tenure and loyal clients.  This is a service and administrative role; there is no selling involved.  This role supports the sales team.

Your job starts after the employer group has selected their benefits plan for the following year. As the Implementation Account Manager, you will:

  • Add new HR personnel to the carrier online portals
  • Process enrollments, terminations, and changes for select clients
  • Answer general questions that come in daily including coordination of benefits, covered benefits, eligibility, merger & acquisitions, compliance, etc.
  • Complete compliance forms and notifications
  • Help clients with bill discrepancies and bill audits.

The job pays $30 to $36/hour ($62,400 to $75,000) and has full benefits. This is a Mon to Fri hybrid role with free parking.  The office is fun, they celebrate employee milestones, and offer continuing education.  They are a boutique agency you can depend on for stable employment and they have no interest in selling out to a national brokerage.

The job requires a WA Life & Disability license, experience as a Benefits Account Manager at either an insurance brokerage/agency, or at an Insurance Carrier, strong computer skills with MS Office, especially Excel.  Sales Force knowledge is a huge plus. Must have strong detail orientation and organization skills.

My client is part of a National rapidly growing brokerage with 150 agencies in 31 states.  They are adding a new Personal Lines Account Manager to their Hermiston, OR office.  This is a Mon to Fri in-office role.  Salary is $45,000 to $50,000 plus commissions on new business added to your book. Full benefits including 401K with match are included. This is a great opportunity to move from a direct writer to the brokerage side and have over 20+ markets to work with.  Training on the agency management system, EPIC, is provided. Key aspects of the role:

  • Provide general service to Personal Insurance clients, including processing endorsements, making changes, issuing certificates of insurance, and answering policy questions.
  • Process renewals of accounts, including rewrites and re-marketing activities, involving the Account Executive as needed.
  • Write new business accounts.
  • Cross-sell current clients to round accounts.
  • Establishes productive working relationships with clients.

My client is a rapidly growing National Insurance brokerage with over 150 agencies in 31 states.  This new Commercial Assistant role is in their well-established La Grande office.  It is a Mon to Fri in-office role which can then move to hybrid once you are fully trained and familiar with the accounts. You will be supporting 2 long-time Account Managers with renewal processing and daily service tasks such as certs, endorsements, billing questions, and other policy service requests.  The book is a mix of hobby and commercial farms, equestrian coverages, and small businesses.  The agency is on EPIC, and they will train on the system.  This is an excellent opportunity to build on your insurance coverage knowledge and work towards becoming an Account Manager with your own book of business. She can support multiple producers, books up to $1M in revenue, negotiate with Underwriters, do in-person client meetings, and can handle renewals with complete autonomy. She is also studying Cyber risk and hopes to find an agency where she could continue to work with this specialty market.
This candidate is an excellent generalist business accounts to about $50,000 in premium. She is known for “white glove” client service, has worked for well-known national brokerages, and she is very efficient with both admitted and surplus lines accounts. She is proficient in EPIC, Sagitta, ImageRight, and has excellent computer skills. She would like to be fully remote but will do hybrid/remote if close to the Salem area.
This candidate currently works 100% remote as a Personal Lines Account Manager. sales/service role. She handles accounts with 20+ Carriers, advises on renewal options, risk management strategies, and handles day to day service tasks. She is very good with turning in-house leads into new customers.
