My client is a growing independent insurance agency located in downtown Seattle, WA. The agency owner will not only pay for you to get your Property & Casualty license, put will also pay for your Liberty Mutual Producer School!

This is a rare training opportunity that doesn’t happen often!

Once you have completed training, you will work with the agency owner to learn how to develop centers of influence, network, follow up on internet and other leads, and quote on personal lines business. You will be writing home, auto, RV, boat, motorcycle, renters, and small business policies.

You will have a salary and commission compensation program which should earn you at least $50,000 1st year if you meet minimum monthly sales targets.

You will sell both in the office and in the field. You will be paid on new policies as well as renewals. The goal is to build up a book of repeat customers and develop strong referral channels to help you build additional business.

Candidates should be very coachable, have a track record of success selling to the public or to businesses, be good with follow up, know how to handle rejection, and have dog eared persistence. If you already have your P & C license, that is a huge plus! Candidates must be able to pass a background check and have no DUI’s.

Mandarin Speaking Insurance Trainee

Do you want to learn how to sell insurance, but don’t have your license or any experience in the industry? If you like to help people, are good at sales, and want to have repeat customers, this company will give you the training you are looking for!

My client is looking for his next “rising star”. He will pay for you to obtain your insurance license and will send you to Liberty/Safeco’s Producer school. You will be a W2 employee, NOT a 1099.

You day will consist of following up on internet leads, mail campaigns, and other new business marketing/sales activities. Your goal will be to schedule a policy review to go over the insureds current coverages and educate them on specific carrier products that will help broaden their coverage limits and save them money. You will also be looking for opportunities to sell additional lines of coverage as well as gain referrals. You will be a customer educator and advisor/consultant. Hours are Mon to Fri and you will be required to be in the office daily. The office is conveniently located in downtown Seattle on the bus line. They have a number of Mandarin speaking customers and a lot of referrals.

The Agency Owner is a fantastic trainer and mentor. He knows how to help you make money without being a pushy salesperson. The company will pay you a base salary (DOE) and commission on new and renewal sales. Expected first year income (salary + commissions) should be in the $50K to $60K+ range depending on your insurance knowledge.

Ideal candidates will have experience in a sales role (either on the phone or as an outside rep). The client is looking for someone who wants a sales career in insurance, not just another JOB. Preference will go to local candidates that are networked in the Seattle area.

Commercial Insurance Agency Marketing Manager

If you have experience selling and/or managing middle market and large commercial risks, are good at understanding Carrier appetites, and enjoy mentoring and training producers and junior staff, my client wants to talk with you!

My client is a national brokerage. This position is located in their downtown Seattle office and supports their Commercial Insurance Producers and Service Team. The purpose of this role is to provide assistance with understanding underwriting guidelines and products unique to each carrier. You will be training producers on commercial risk analysis so they can ask the right questions and provide complete and accurate information to underwriters when writing new business. You will also be in charge of Carrier relationships and will monitor and communicate changes with respect to new products, markets, and specific risk appetites. The job is a mix of office and field work as needed to meet sales objectives and client renewal needs.

As the Leader of the Marketing function for the Commercial Lines Department you will:

  • Monitor, track and negotiate renewal from assigned market segment
  • Provide mentorship and instruction to Producers regarding the marketing process
  • Liaise with Account Managers and Producers to obtain renewal/new business strategies
  • Communicate renewal/new business strategy to carriers and negotiate to achieve appropriate coverage and pricing for our insureds
  • Produce and review Insurance Proposals with assigned Account Manager/Producer
  • As appropriate, participate in sales/renewal meetings with client and client advisement team
  • Ensure all new & renewal information is documented and transition the client file to Account Manager for finalization in client management system and on-going service
  • Work with carriers on an ongoing basis to maintain knowledge of Seattle’s competitive marketplace and educate the Commercial Lines team regarding carriers as necessary
  • Monitor, identify and educate the Commercial Lines team regarding new products, new markets and marketing trends
  • Develop and maintain good standing with carriers
  • Review marketing results monthly and measure progress in achieving Carrier/Agency Objectives
  • Identify, design & implement marketing strategies for the Agency, encompassing new products, services, identification & selection of target markets and tailored/unique coverage

Compensation includes salary, benefits, retirement plan, ORCA card program, bonus program for meeting KPI’s, and commission on any self-generated new business. (This is a 6 figure package, DOE.)

Candidates need to have a P & C license, understanding and experience with the agency sales process for middle market and large accounts, knowledge of local Carriers/products, and ability/patience to train and support sales staff at all levels.
